It's Monday and it was work as usual today. But after work I got a call from the young lady I spoke to on the prayer line Sunday. She was asking questions about her husbands salvation. God makes it very clear in His word that if we are a Christian, there will be evidence or (fruit) as He calls it. In the book of Galatians, chapter 5 and verses 22 & 23 the fruits of the Spirit are listed for us.
They are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance against such there is no law. Verse 24 goes on to say this;
"And they that are Christ's (Christians) have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." in other words we are new creations through salvation and are no longer letting the flesh rule our actions or have control of us.
Verse 25; "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." We should be displaying the fruit of the spirit in our lives daily because the spirit of God lives within us. If we are not displaying these fruits, then we are either not a Christian or we are walking in the flesh rather than in the spirit. God's word has given us everything we need to live a joyous, peaceful, productive, blessed life through the power of His son.
We have also been given the free will to make choices. Those choices will be made either by a heart that is following the will of our Father (in the spirit) or by a heart that is following the will of our sin nature (the flesh).

My prayer today is that God will give me the strength to follow His will, through the power of His spirit that lives within me.
