It's Sunday; always a busy day for us. Church is a wonderful privilege and always such a blessing. We attend Meadow Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The pastor is Jeff Lyle and can be found preaching on Sundays @ 11:00 and Tuesday's @ 6:00 on local TV station channel 57.

Today, I had the telephone ministry at our church. We answer a prayer line from 11:00 until 12:00 during the TV broadcast. My heart was touched as I spoke with a young woman who's world has been turned upside down by sin in the life of her husband. Please join me in praying for this young lady that God would bless her as she struggles to find answers in this situation.

I am also involved right now in a wonderful Bible study with a young woman that I wanted to share with you.
It is a Beth Moore study called "A Woman's Heart God's Dwelling Place" This is a Bible study that she did about 10 yrs. ago and has recently updated. It is a fabulous study about the tabernacle that reveals the need for us to commune with God and reminds us that His desire in creating us was for us to fellowship with Him.

I never thought about the fact that the first tabernacle or (sanctuary) that God created to use as a place for man to fellowship with Him was actually the garden of Eden. And the evidence of His desire to be with us is seen from Genesis to Revelation. From creation into Eternity!! The Bible tells us that God walked in the garden in the cool of the day. Since there was no sin and everything was pure, God could actually inhabit the garden and fellowship with Adam and Eve. However, when the serpent, Satan, convinced Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and Adam made the choice to eat it as well. Sin entered the garden and changed everything. The fellowship that man had with God up until the point of his disobedience was no longer possible. So God performed the first sacrifice.
He shed the blood of an animal and covered Adam & Eve with the skins.
This was a foreshadow of the sacrifice that was to come to cover the sin of mankind; through the blood of Jesus Christ.
But the consequences of their sin were harsh. Even though God forgave them, they still had to bear the results of the curse that was brought by their sin.

They were banished from the garden, separated from God, Adam had to work for the food he needed and Eve was cursed with pain during childbirth. Today, if we have not accepted the lamb that was slain for our sin (God's son, Jesus Christ) then we are cursed with the same separation from God. We cannot commune with him or He with us until our sin is atoned for.

The wonderful news is that God is still pursuing us. You see, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He pursued Adam & Eve in the garden and He is pursuing us today. His consistency is a beautiful thing. He never fails or changes, you can count on that. If you don't know Him as your personal Savior and Lord. Stop and let Him catch you. This is my prayer today.

Lord Jesus, use the example of Adam and Eve and the results of their sin as a reminder to those reading this information that you are holy, sinless and the only perfect sacrifice to make the atonement for the sin of man. Please touch someone's heart today with your relentless pursuit of them. In Jesus name, Amen.
