AWANA Night!!!! Tonight we had 21 great Cubbies.
They are so enthusiastic and fun. But, if there's even a short lull in the night, look out, they get restless pretty quickly.

So, we try to keep the program exciting. There's always a great flannel graph story. Tonight it was all about how God created the animals. We told them last week to bring in their favorite stuffed animal.

We played several fun games directed at making animal sounds.
We had animal crackers and ice water (sounds a little like prison doesn't it--crackers and water). They loved it. As we served their snack, we tapped them on the shoulder and without talking, they had to make an animal sound to get their snack. The second game was a classic, pile all the animals in a great big pile, divide the kids into two teams and race to find their animal and bring it back to their leader, the only problem was that several of the kids left their animals at home and couldn't remember the animal we loaned them for the night, so they got someone Else's when they went to the pile. Well, you can imagine the rest!!!! They were making animal sounds alright.

What a rewarding program. Watching those little guys grow and learn about God's word. I love it!!!! I praise the Lord that He has chosen to let me be involved for almost 15 years now. Good night little animals, sleep tight.
